About Vacations in Ireland We're two British expatriates who came to Ireland to visit and ended up staying. I can't imagine ever leaving here. We settled in Clonakilty, down on the South West coast, about as far South as it's possible to go without getting your feet wet in the Atlantic. Fortunately we also run our own business, a small business marketing consultancy, so we didn't have the bother of finding work here (and as long as we have Internet... we are in business!). Many of our clients are from the USA and we noticed the great affinity between the Americans and Irish. Everyone the other side of the Pond, it seems, wants to know all about where we live, why we came here, and when can they visit us!
